TO GLORIFY GOD BY INTRODUCING JESUS CHRIST AS LORD TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE AND TO DEVELOP THEM IN CHRISTIAN LIVING USING THE MOST EFFECTIVE MEANS TO IMPACT THE WORLD, MAKING AN ETERNAL DIFFERENCE IN THIS GENERATION AND GENERATIONS TO COME.
Acts 2:44 captures one of the great principles of the Christian church as it says, “And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” While we esteem and celebrate the uniqueness of every member of our Prestonwood church family, we unapologetically value six core areas in the life of our church. Together, these shared values identify who we are, rally us toward all that we desire to accomplish, and unite us in fellowship.
The Prestonwood family believes that honoring God with our very best is an essential quality of Christian living. Through all of our ministry programming and campus facilities, we strive to display excellence in all things to the glory of God. Great care is taken to ensure a wonderful, worshipful environment in every area of ministry.
Under the direct commission of Jesus Christ, Prestonwood
exists to reach those in our neighborhoods and around the world who have yet to come to faith in Jesus Christ. Our church programming, services and ministry models all point toward sharing the message of the Gospel with individuals and families. In every service, a public invitation is given to allow people to respond to this clear message of hope and eternal promise. We also provide multiple opportunities to invite unbelieving friends and family members to hear the Gospel. And every member of the church is challenged to share their faith daily in work, schools and social settings.
Prestonwood is a dynamic congregation, with people from all over the North Texas region who have come together for a common purpose—to study God’s Word, to worship Him, to do His work, and to reach the world with the Gospel message. With three campuses—Plano, North and Lewisville—in thriving areas of North Texas, more than 49,000 people now call Prestonwood “home.” If you are looking for a church home, we’d love for you to visit us at the campus most convenient for you. If you do not live in the Dallas area, you can worship online with us through PowerPoint Ministries, which takes the life-transforming message preached from the Prestonwood pulpit to the world via television, radio and the Internet.
After outgrowing our original location in North Dallas at Hillcrest/Arapaho, Pastor Graham and church leaders prayed about the next step for Prestonwood. God led the church to 140 acres in Plano, and in May 1999, Prestonwood held its first service at our Plano Campus. The Plano Campus is our largest campus and is located just off the Dallas North Tollway on Park Blvd.
In March 2006, after months of prayer with church leaders, Pastor Graham shared with the congregation a vision for expansion that included plans for a second location. After meeting in home groups, and then in the Prosper High School gym, in October 2008, our church family celebrated the dedication of the new facility on 127 acres on Prosper Trail, just east of the Dallas North Tollway. In the fall of 2012, an expansion project that doubled the existing space was completed to keep up with the growing congregation. Now, more than 5,500 people call our North Campus home.
